Michigan Kindergarten Brings Alcoholic Beverage To School, Shares It With 4 Others
Michigan parents are outraged and looking for answers after a kindergarten student reportedly brought an alcoholic beverage to school and poured it into small paper cups for other students during snack time.
The school said no student became ill or needed medical attention.
A parent told the news her 5-year-old daughter was left “woozy” and “dizzy” after she had “four or five sips” of the tequila before she told a teacher.

The young children drank the ready-to-drink alcoholic beverages from Dixie cups while the class was partaking in snack time. The girl managed to bring the drinks to school in her book bag.
The student’s parents were upset after learning their daughters took a few sips of the drink. A mother, Dominique Zanders said, her daughter “felt woozy, a little dizzy.”
Another mother, Alexis Smith, said, her daughter took up to five sips and added that her classmate knew that the drink contained alcohol.
The school responded to the incident in a statement that said, “while we try to keep an eye on everything our students bring to school, that’s simply not possible. [Unfortunately], these types of adult beverages can be easily mistaken for child-friendly drinks.”
