Tyra Banks Not Returning To ‘Dancing With The Stars’ Once The Show Moves To Disney+ After Ratings Slump – Report
Tyra Banks’ stint on Dancing With The Stars is reportedly coming to an end, just two years after she replaced Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews as the host of the ABC competition show.
Last week, it was revealed that DWTS would be moving from its current network over to streaming giant Disney+ this fall, a decision which was confirmed in a statement made by Kareem Daniel, chairman of Disney Media and Entertainment Distribution.
But now it’s been claimed that with the show moving to its new home, it will also be ushering in a new host as producers are not looking to bring Tyra back, sources tell The Sun.

According to the outlet, since the former America’s Next Top Model star took over Tom’s gig, ratings have fallen drastically, while long-time fans of the series have heavily criticized Tyra’s hosting skills.
With DWTS already renewed for the next two seasons, insiders allege that the show’s downfall in recent years wasn’t because of the stars that were signed to take part but how the format was being presented.
“Production has been a mess, with no clear direction of where [the show] was going, which is why certain producers have been axed in recent months,” a source gushed. “I wouldn’t say it’s Tyra’s fault the show got dropped by the network. I mean, that certainly didn’t help, but she came in and did the job she was hired to do.
“The problem is, she just didn’t fit in. She didn’t fit in with producers and she didn’t fit with the audience and it showed.”
