Benzino Slams Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame For Inducting Eminem Before Any Black Hip-Hop Pioneers
Benzino Calls Out Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame After Eminem Is Inducted Before Any Black Hip-Hop Pioneers
On Wednesday morning (May 4), it was announced that Hip-Hop icon Eminem would be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, as part of the Class of 2022.
Responding to the announcement, fellow Hip-Hop icon Benzino, who has recently ended his beef with Eminem — for the sake of Zino’s daughter Coi Leray — the creator of ‘The Source’ magazine had some things to say about the Detroit rapper making history before any Black Hip-Hop pioneers.
Taking to his Twitter, Benzino reposted an article from Rolling Stone announcing the Eminem induction and he said, “Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is just like the Grammy’s, they have no respect for our culture, Black or Hip Hop and if you don’t agree, you’re racist, period point blank.”

In a follow up tweet — which he has since deleted from his account — Benzino said, “And I wanna hear nothing from y’all Black rappers and fans, y’all did this [bullsh*t]. BENZINO BEEN TOLD Y’ALL GOOFBALLS.”
Replacing that tweet, Benzino shared, “So where is Nas, Eric B and RAKIM, Kool Moe D., EPMD, Fearless Four, Fat Boyz, Lauryn Hill, Lil’ Kim, OutKast and 100s of other Black rappers?? [Get the f**k out of here].
Benzino also spoke out on the recent controversy of the Supreme Court looking to reverse its 1973 decision in Roe v. Wade and Planned Parenthood v. Casey. The former protects a pregnant woman’s liberty to choose to have an abortion without excessive government restriction. Addressing the controversy,
Benzino tweeted out, “I stand with all women on their rights to choose regarding their body and having abortions. The Government has absolutely no right to dictate such a sensitive and important right.”
