Woman Arrested After Three Children Were Found Dead At Home On Mothers Day

According to NBC Los Angeles, a woman was arrested on Sunday, Mother’s Day, after her three children were found dead at a home in Los Angeles.

Police were called to the home Sunday and found three unresponsive children, Los Angeles Police Department Officer Orris said following the incident.

Neighbors said they heard a woman screaming Saturday night while holding a candle and a bible. Neighbor Pricila Canales told the outlet, “I figured she was just in the wrong place … mentally not OK, but it ends up being she lived two houses down from us.”

The kids, described as a 12-year-old girl and two 8-year-old boys, were declared dead at the scene. Their identities have not yet been released. Investigators are still working to determine when the children were killed.

The mother who has been identified by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department as 38-year-old Angela Flores was detained at the crime scene and later arrested. She was taken into custody on suspicion of murder late Sunday night.

A Los Angeles Police Department spokesperson also said Monday that an unidentified juvenile was also arrested in connection with the case.

However, the spokesperson did not provide further details on the relationship or age of the juvenile, and did not say what the arrest was for.
