Texas School Shooter Grandfather Says He Had No Idea Ramos Bought $2000 Worth Of Guns & Ammo
Salvador Ramos, 18, killed 19 elementary school students and 2 teachers yesterday at Robb Elementary School. His grandfather is speaking out today claiming he didn’t know his grandson had access to the assault riffles.
Ramos’ grandfather, Rolando Reyes, said that he and his wife, Celia Martinez, celebrated Ramos’ 18th birthday just last week, May 16. They took him to Applebee’s to celebrate and everything seemed fine.
Literally a few days after he turned 18, Ramos quickly purchasers two AR-15s and more than three hundred rounds of ammo from a local gun shop for almost $2,000. He used these guns to carry out the murders, as well as shoot his grandmother in the head. Reyes says he had no idea of Ramos had guns in there home because of his criminal past, he can’t be around firearms.

“I didn’t know he had weapons. If I’d have known, I would have reported it,” Reyes said.
Reyes continued to say that this entire situation is unexpected because Ramos was also a quiet kid. He says that in the last year, though, Ramos stopped going to school and didn’t graduate.
“Sometimes I’d take him to work with me. Not all the time, but sometimes. This past year he didn’t go to school. He didn’t graduate. You would try to tell him but kids nowadays they think they know everything.”
His grandmother survived the attack, but the victims at the school weren’t as fortunate. This entire situation is heart breaking. Ramos mother also says he was not violent person.
