Amber Heard Reportedly ‘Hurting For Cash’ Due To Hefty Attorney Fees And Johnny Depp’s $10 Million Trial Win

Amber Heard, who is reportedly “hurting for cash” now that a heap of legal fees have amassed since her ex-husband Johnny Depp won his defamation at a Virginia court earlier this week.

As previously reported, the Edward Scissorhands star is looking to receive a whopping $10.4 million from Amber, but according to the New York Post, the “broke” Aquaman star is in no financial state to cover either of her fees.

Sources for the publication blame Amber’s heavy spending on traveling, clothes, wine, and gifts for why she has now struggled to even pay her attorneys. Furthermore, she even had to switch legal representation for the six-week trial and is now depending on her homeowner’s insurance policy in hopes that it will cover the cost of clearing any outstanding balance with her lawyers.

Fellow trial attorney Heather Heidelbaugh spoke to the news publication and said that people relying on their homeowner’s insurance policies after losing their defamation case isn’t all that uncommon — though this usually depends on how much the insurance company is willing to pay.

“It’s a little oddity that most people don’t know. In most homeowner insurance policies, there is coverage if you are sued for defamation based on how much you pay through coverage.”

But even if her attorney fees are covered, where will Amber find the $10.4 million to pay Johnny? Her net worth is already estimated to be no more than $2 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth, which is a far cry from the $150 million fortune Johnny has, making it relatively easy to pay her the $2 million she won in her countersuit.

Even during the explosive trial, several witnesses had taken to the stand, testifying that they didn’t believe Amber even had the sort of funds that would be enough to pay her former flame.
