Ravens Linebacker Jaylon Ferguson Has Passed Away
Ravens linebacker Jaylon Ferguson has passed away at age 26, the team announced on Wednesday morning.
“We are profoundly saddened by the tragic passing of Jaylon Ferguson,” the team said in a statement.
“He was a kind, respectful young man with a big smile smile and infectious personality.”Ferguson, who starred at Louisiana Tech, was a third-round pick by the Ravens in the 2019 NFL Draft.

“It’s with great sadness that we announce the passing of Baltimore Ravens LB Jaylon Ferguson. The family asks for your prayers and privacy during this trying time,” Ferguson’s agent, Safarrah Lawson, told NFL.com.
Ferguson played in 38 games over three seasons, amassing 62 tackles and 4 1/2 sacks. The cause of death is unknown.
Ferguson was an outside linebacker and defensive end of the National Football League (NFL). He played three seasons professionally for the Baltimore Ravens and played college football at Louisiana Tech.
In Week 4 of the 2020 season against the Washington Football Team, Ferguson recorded his first sack of the season on Dwayne Haskins during the 31–17 win.[18] Ferguson was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list by the Ravens on November 28, 2020,[19] and activated two days later.
