Chicago Man Throws Woman Out Of His Apartment Window: "I Threw The B*tch Out The Window"

Chicago Man Charged With Murder For Throwing Woman Out Of His Fifth-Floor Apartment Window

A man in Chicago threw a woman out of his fifth-floor apartment window just minutes after his girlfriend arrived at his home on Wednesday, prosecutors said.

The prosecutor didn’t suggest a motive. The victim has been identified as Tabitha Tanner. The man responsible is Tyson Tillman.

Surveillance footage showed Tyson arriving at his apartment around 10:09 p.m. Wednesday and his girlfriend arriving at 38 minutes later, prosecutor James O’Connor said. Doorbell cameras from Tyson’s neighbors showed his girlfriend pacing in the hallway until at least 10:57 p.m., according to O’Connor.

At 10:59 p.m., an exterior camera recorded Tabitha’s body falling to the ground in an alley behind the apartment building, O’Connor said.

Tyson was seen leaving his apartment in a red shirt moments after the woman fell, and an exterior camera captured someone in a red shirt checking on her body at 11:03 p.m. Tyson re-entered the building at 11:11 p.m., he said.

Tabitha’s body was found at 6:11 a.m. on Thursday, and she was pronounced dead at 6:30 a.m., according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office. When police initially spoke with Tyson at the scene, he denied knowing anything about the situation. He later admitted that they were involved in a physical altercation in his apartment, O’Connor continued.

He allegedly told police that Tabitha’s clothing came off during the fight, and she fell from the window. When investigators took him in for questioning, an officer’s bodyworn camera allegedly recorded him saying in a phone call, “I threw the b*tch out the window.”
