Ashanti Responds To Irv Gotti, Calls Him ‘Pathetic’ & ‘Delusional’
Ashanti Blasts Irv Gotti, Says They Only Had Short Fling
R&B singer Ashanti is furious at the recent interviews that her former manager Irv Gotti is giving. During the controversial Drink Champs episode, Irv Gotti revealed that Ashanti recorded her 2002 hit single “Happy” after they finished having sex.
According to a person close to Ashanti, she feels that Irv is clout chasing, and exaggerating the nature of their former romantic relationship.
The insider explained, “When Ashanti and Irv were together she was like 21 years old, and it wasn’t anything serious.”

The insider claims that their relationship was more of a fling, than anything serious. She also reportedly said that their fling was “very brief.” “When you listen to Irv talk, he’s trying to make it out like they were in love and in a full blown relationship. That is cap,” Ashanti’s friend told us.
The friend, who called Irv “pathetic” for making the comments, believes that he is just using Ashanti’s name – and bringing up old drama for “clout.”
We asked whether Ashanti feels the same way about Irv, and the friend said, “Hell yes. She thinks he’s delusional.”
Irv was married at the time and 11 years older than Ashanti when the two had their reported fling.
