Britney Spears Turned Down ‘Lots Of Money’ For Oprah Winfrey Interview
Britney Spears Reveals She Turned Down ‘Lots Of Money’ Offer For Oprah Winfrey Interview
Britney Spears has revealed that she turned down Oprah Winfrey’s offer for a tell-all interview concerning her 13-year conservatorship ordeal.
She claims that though she was offered “lots of money,” the trauma she’s endured is “beyond a sit-down” conversation with the former talk show host.
In a lengthy voice note that was uploaded — and since deleted — from her YouTube page on Sunday, Spears shed light on the struggles she faced during the court-ordered arrangement controlled by her father, Jamie Spears.

With regards to the calls she has received for an interview to explain her story, she said, “I have offers to interview with Oprah and so many people, lots and lots of money, but it’s insane. I don’t want any of it. For me, it’s beyond a sit-down, proper interview.”
In her YouTube video, Spears believed that the conservatorship was “pre-meditated,” and that she hasn’t even told the world “the half of it.”
She also touched on not being allowed to see friends, and how she no longer cared about performing when she was on her last tour because Spears knew as soon as she wrapped the gig, she’d be back to following strict orders from her dad.
The “Lucky” singer said she was told she was fat every day, her phone was monitored, she couldn’t see friends, and was sent to a mental health facility if she refused to do as she was told.
