Pinellas Woman Does Irish Folk Dance During Sobriety Test – Video
Florida Woman Does Irish Folk Dance To Prove Sobriety After Being Pulled Over For DUI
A Florida woman attempted to fool police officers during a sobriety test and performed an Irish folk dance, leaving them unimpressed.
Although the incident occurred in April, the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office released the video earlier this week where Amy Harrington,38, showed off her dancing skills in front of deputies.
Harrington reportedly rear-ended another vehicle approximately a mile away from her home in Madeira Beach, and deputies said she appeared to have watery, bloodshot eyes when they pulled her over. During the sobriety test, Harrington tried to walk in a straight line along a parking space marker but started dancing instead.

“Do you want to pay attention so I can give you the instructions?” said the deputy conducting the test. “Yeah, well, you sound like my ballet coach, so, sounds about right,” Harrison said in response before breaking out into another dance move.
According to WFLA, Harrington did multiple ballet and Irish folk dance steps while waving her arms in front of the officers. “That wasn’t the exercise that I was demonstrating.”
Despite the officers warning, Harrison continued to perform the Irish folk and ballet dance moves. While searching her vehicle, deputies also found a white foam cup containing a yellow liquid that smelled like alcohol in the cup holder of her car.
Harrison also refused to get tested and deputies said this is the second time she refused a sobriety test. In 2019, she refused to take a sobriety test after a similar incident in the same county. She was charged with driving under the influence and refusing to perform a sobriety test.
