Alicia Keys Won’t Be Performing At Takeoff’s Memorial
Alicia Keys Not Performing At Takeoff’s Memorial
It was initially reported that Alicia Keys will be performing at Takeoff’s memorial service this week. However, are rep has come out to shut it down.
Takeoff was shot and killed last week in Houston after a dispute over a dice game. Cops have identified people of interest in the shooting, but no arrests have been made.
A rep for Alicia Keys tells TMZ she will not be performing. We’re told she was invited, but is unable to attend — as a guest or performer — due to a scheduling conflict.
This is too much…. It’s like every day
RIP Takeoff. 🙏🏽🕊️🙏🏽 Sending light to your family and loved ones

Alicia doesn’t have any solo tracks with Takeoff specifically, but she and Migos were all featured on Kanye West’s last ‘Donda’ album.
She also posted a tribute to Takeoff after his shooting death, saying … “This is too much. It’s like every day. RIP Takeoff. Sending light to your family and loved ones. We are losing too many too soon!!”
Tickets for Takeoff’s memorial are already sold out and as we previously reported, Justin Bieber is also set to perform at the service.
A new Takeoff Mural has been added to the Atlanta Beltline near old Fourth Ward. Quavo and Offset have not yet made public statements about Takeoff’s murder, though Offset did change his Instagram avatar to a photo of the rapper.
