Ja Morant Shares Cryptic “Bye” Message On Instagram To His Family
Fans Worried After Ja Morant Shares Cryptic Message On Instagram
Ja Morant is facing criticism for the second time in just over two months for a social media video that appeared to show him playfully but recklessly waving around a gun in public.
The N.B.A. verified the first video, in March, but is still investigating the second, which went viral last weekend. Morant apologized Tuesday.
Fans are now worried about the 23-year-old Memphis Grizzlies guard after he posted a cryptic message on Instagram to his family. “Love ya ma.. Love ya pops.. You da greatest babygirl. Love ya,” Ja Morant wrote on the clip showing images with the mentioned family members.

The Grizzles announced Sunday they were suspending Morant from all team activities and the NBA said it is investigating after yet another video emerged of Morant briefly holding a weapon, this time on an associate’s Instagram Live broadcast.
After the first incident, Ja Morant said he was only trying to feel ‘free’ and ‘escape’.
“Honestly, I feel like we put ourselves in that situation with our past mistakes, and now it’s only right that we focus in and lock in on being smarter and more responsible, holding each other accountable for everything,” Morant told Jalen Rose.
“I feel like in the past we didn’t know what was at stake. And now finally me having that time to realize everything, have that time alone, I realize that now. The gun wasn’t mine. It’s not who I am. I don’t condone any type of violence, but I take full responsibility for my actions,” he added.
