Teen Saves Sister From Being Drowned By Their Mother, Youngest Sibling Drowned Before

A South Carolina teen is truly a hero after saving her younger sister from being drowned by their own mother – who had killed her other sister just before she could intervene.

According to the NY Daily News, the 16-year-old awoke to the screams of her 8-year-old sister coming from the bathroom.

When the teen rushed over, she wrestled her mother to let the sister loose. Jaime Bradley-Brun, 37, was attempting to drown the child as she did to her other child earlier. The eldest rushed to a nearby family member’s home and contacted police.

Police responded to the scene eight minutes later, finding Brun with the child she had just drowned to death. The mother attempted to grab an officer’s gun, causing her to be tased as she was arrested.

“The early morning investigation revealed that Jamie Michele Bradley-Brun most likely drowned the 6-year-old. Following that, Bradley-Brun then attempted to drown an 8-year-old child.

A plea for help from the 8-year-old woke others in the home who were able to intervene and call 911 for help.”

Bradley-Brun is being held without bond on charges of murder and attempted murder.
