A video is going viral after a father pranked his family and friends by faking his death. But get this y’all! His wife and children were in on the prank the whole entire time.

Before the actual funeral, the man’s daughter took to social media to write a fake rest in peace message to her father, who was still very much alive.

David Baerten, 45, allowed dozens of family and friends to show up for his funeral, where he popped up at the end on a helicopter relieving those mourning his presence.

In the video, some can be seen running up to Baerten while others stood afar in confusion.

When asked why he would ever want to do such a thing, Baerten explained that he wanted the prank to be a lesson. He then went on to say he didn’t like the treatment his family and friends had been giving him.

“I never get invited to anything, nobody sees me,” Baerten said. “We all grew apart, I felt unappreciated.”

The full video of the funeral has not been released but Baerten says he now knows who would be there for him in the end and took note of everyone who came out and showed up.
