A police officer in Kansas City could be seen kneeling on a Walmart customer’s neck after accusing the man of stealing a $5 frozen pizza, a report said.

Dayton Borisouth, 24, told KCTV that he had just purchased the pizza at the self-checkout on June 1 and was walking out of the store when the officer asked for his receipt.

He initially refused, because he didn’t think the action was legally required.

The news has since gone viral on social media, garnering lots of reactions from folks online. “Cops need to go 5 miles down the road to the Ross dress for less if they really want to catch criminals leaving stores with merch,” someone commented.

“Is this Walmart again? They take their receipt checking process seriously! Thank god it was $5,” another person wrote.

“Police departments have a hard time getting enough people to be cops but the standards for psychological evaluations must be raised,” someone else shared.

“Example anyone who got bullied in high school should not be allowed to be a cop. Same if you can’t get laid. You’re just an angry guy with a badge,” the user added.
