Meade High School Students Prank School By Listing It On Zillow As A Half Working Jail

Some students at Meade High School in Anne Arundel County in Maryland have done just that, putting a sarcastic listing of their school on Zillow as a prank.

They certainly made their feelings about the school known as well, highlighting the ‘amazing amenities’ while noting several maintenance issues.

They also described the school as a ‘nice half-working jail’, not even stretching to calling it a fully functional jail. The ad pulled out all the stops, claiming that the school was built in 1792, despite opening in 1977, and highlighting the ‘complementary trash scented air freshener and water issues’.

It said ‘all 15 bathrooms come with sewage issues’ as well as ‘dangerous unfinished sections that could cost you your life’. It added: “Your neighbors are rodents and insects that will make you squeal!”

And what was the price listing for this brilliant property? $42,069. Bargain.

Despite the advert not exactly painting the school in the most positive light, officials from Anne Arundel County Public Schools still saw the funny side.

Spokesperson Bob Mosier continued with the joke in a statement to media outlets, saying: “This is incredibly creative advertising, but we are stunned that the listers so vastly underestimated the value of this prime real estate with amazing amenities.
