Parents Charged After Dumping 3-Months-Old Baby In The Woods

According to the NY Post, the parents of a 3-month-old girl were charged with her death and disappearance when they disguised her dead body and discarded it in the woods.

“She is gone. She is gone,” Damion Comager allegedly confessed to his mother after she noticed her granddaughter’s presence diminished overtime.

Genevieve Rozzlyn Comager was gone because her father, 23-year-old Comager, violently shook and slapped her before dumping her body into trash littered woods with the help of the mother. He and Ivana Paolozzi, 20, allegedly “changed her diaper, placed her in a onesie and a hat, wrapped her in a blanket, and placed her in the stroller,” according to Assistant District Attorney Serena Newell.

Upon successfully leaving their Bronx shelter they resided in, the parents “placed their daughter Genevieve’s body in a garbage bag and disposed of said garbage bag and the baby stroller in a wooded area amongst massive trash.”

When Paolozzi was questioned on Sunday about the child’s disappearance, prosecutors allege she lied about their relocation to Louisiana. Yet prosecutors say the child had been dead two weeks at that point.

On Monday, the pair were arrested when Comager allegedly confessed to his father of the crime. The father notified authorities and a search led to the child’s discovery. Comager is charged with murder, manslaughter and concealment of a human corpse.

Paolozzi is charged with concealment of a human corpse, tampering with evidence and obstructing governmental administration. She was released with monitoring.
