Woman Sues Her Blind Date After He Walked On Dinner Tab Because She Brought 25 Relatives To Join Them
A man in China was sued after running out on his blind date who thought she could bring her 23 family members to eat with them.
According to local reports, Mr. Liu had agreed to go on a blind date with Ms. Zhang after a match maker thought they’d be great together.
Now as a woman, I’m all for having a tag-along for a blind date. Most people just have them sit at another table, undetected, just in case they need back up for anything. Ms. Zhang, however, decided to bring 23 family members to join her table with Liu.

Per the report, “restaurant staff informed Liu that the woman’s family ordered a significant amount of expensive cigarettes and premium alcoholic beverages.” Liu was handed the bill which totaled out to 20,000 yuan (approximately $2,812).
Liu said his blind date had him f***** up and only agreed to pay $562, which is still pretty generous considering he and Ms. Zhang’s combined tab was only $197. Ms. Zhang was not happy that Liu’s decision and decided to take him to court.
However legal experts argued that while no one can assume what to expect on a “blind” date, bringing 23 relatives is not the “norm.”
The court ruled in Liu’s favor, stating that he should only cover the cost of his and Zhang’s meal. As for the family, it’s definitely sum ting wong with them.
