Amazon Manager Bought A Mansion & Lamborghini After Scamming Company Out Of $10 Million

Amazon Manager Bought A Mansion & Lamborghini After Scamming Company Out Of $10 Million

An Amazon manager who is responsible for curating a nearly $10M fraud has been sentenced to 16 years in prison. The woman reportedly brought a fancy Lamborghini and a mansion with a portion of the money. Reports show that her girlfriend was allegedly a conspirator of the whole ordeal.

Kayricka Wortham, 32, was an operations manager at an Amazon warehouse in Atlanta, Georgia before she got caught.

Wortham, who worked at Amazon from August 2020 to March 2022, is said to have started the scheme by submitting false invoices for fake vendors and then she would redirect the funds to herself and others that were in the scheme.

If you are wondering how Amazon did not catch onto everything, that’s where Worthams girlfriend, Brittany Hudson, 37, comes in. Hudson allegedly owned a business contracted by Amazon to deliver packages and helped Wortham submit the fake invoices.

According to documents obtained by the New York Post, Wortham is being charged with wire fraud. The crime allegedly involved six other workers. Not only did Wortham purchase a Lamborghini with the stolen money, but she also brought a Tesla, a Porsche, and the mansion reportedly ran for $1M.

Upon Wortham’s arrest, the feds reportedly seized all the funded property, which was revealed to be worth $2.7M all together. After representing herself in court, she was ordered to pay back $9.5M in restitution to Amazon and faces three years of supervised release after she serves her sentence. A spokesperson from Amazon declined to make a statement.

A judge has pushed the sentencing for the other suspects involved in the crime to a later date. As for Wortham and Hudson, who allegedly had their bond revoked after trying to open up a hookah lounge with forged signatures from a court, they are currently sitting on pending charges.
