Atlanta Mom Arrested After Shooting 17-Year-Old Son 7 Times During An Argument Over Video Game Console

An Atlanta mother is behind bars after allegedly shooting her teenage son during an argument over a video game console.

According to Fox Atlanta, police responded to a call around 10:20 p.m. to a home and found a 17-year-old boy suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Police immediately apprehended the suspect, Jaquana Butler, 31, the teens mother.

A preliminary investigation revealed that the shooting happened while Jaquana and her son argued over a video game console.

During the fight, police claim she pulled out a gun and shot her son multiple times.

Jaquana is currently at the Fulton County Jail. She’s facing several charges from aggravated assault, reckless conduct, and cruelty to children.

Her son is still alive, but authorities have not provided any information about his condition.
