Home Explosion That Left 5 Dead Including Father & Son Walking By Was Caused By Hot Water Tank Issues

An update has revealed the reasoning behind a Pennsylvania home explosion that took place.

If you remember, we previously reported a story on the explosion that left five victims dead including a father and his son walking near the home.

Well, according to documents obtained by the New York Post, a fire marshal has revealed the incident was due to hot water tank issues.

The Fire Marshal’s Office claims it can confirm that it is aware that the homeowners of the home were having hot water tank issues before the blast occurred. The tank was reportedly located in the basement of the home.

Furthermore, officials will now reportedly “investigate that information along with any and all other possibilities during their processes that may explain what occurred.”

The Plum city mayor, Harry Schlegel, has also revealed the 3 remaining victims that could not be identified initially have been named.

These victims included Heather Oravitz, 51, Michael Thomas, 57, and Kevin Sebunia, 55.
