Lizzo Dropped From The Super Bowl LVIlI Halftime Show List Amid Sexual Harassment Lawsuit
Lizzo has reportedly been dropped from a list of artists up for consideration to perform during The Super Bowl LVIlI Halftime Show.
A National Football League (NFL) insider told the Daily Mail that the backlash from recent sexual harassment and body-shaming allegations against the singer prompted the decision.
“Talks of Lizzo being a part of the Halftime festivities, or performing the National Anthem, are dead now that she is surrounded by scandal,” the source told TheDailyMail.com.

Though the list of performers is not made public, betting odds from Covers.com currently list artists such as Miley Cyrus, Harry Styles and Bad Bunny among the names most likely to headline the February 2024 event.
Lizzo, 35, recently became enveloped in controversy after she was accused of body shaming and sexual harassment during her recent tour, “The Special Tour,” by several backup dancers.
The suit alleges that Lizzo regularly created uncomfortable sexual situations, such as forcing tour cast members to eat bananas protruding from other cast members’ private parts and touch n* de performers.
Breaking her silence on the issue through Instagram, Lizzo said that there is “nothing” she takes “more seriously than the respect we deserve as women in the world.”
