6 People Arrested For Murder Of South Korean Woman Found In Car Trunk
South Korean Woman Found Dead In The Trunk Of A Car Months After She Came To The States
Six people are behind bars after a South Korean woman was found dead in the trunk of a car in Georgia. The woman was reportedly there to join a religious group with the 6 suspects, but they ended up torturing her and killing her instead.
According to WSBTV, Gwinnett County Police were called to Jeju Suana, where the body of a woman was discovered inside the trunk of a Jaguar.
Police say one of the suspects, Eric Hyun, 26, drove the car to the parking lot then called a family member and asked to be picked up and taken to a hospital to be treated for an unrelated injury. Hyun then asked the family members to go back to the car to get something, where the family member discovered the body and called the police.

The police investigation led to a home nearby, where they determined that the crimes happened in the basement.
Police say that the woman was from South Korea and was lured to Atlanta over the summer under the guise of joining a religious organization, “Soldiers of Christ”. When she arrived, though, she was beaten and tortured for months until she died. The woman, who is believed to have been in her 20s or 30s, was approximately 70 pounds when her body was found, police said. They believe she may have been in the trunk for several days.
“They called themselves ‘Soldiers of Christ,’” police said. “Apparently, the victim was subjected to beatings and malnourishment, which subsequently, and what the medical examiner’s office believes led to her death.”
All six have been charged with felony murder, imprisonment, tampering with evidence and concealing death. The woman’s identity hasn’t been revealed yet because authorities are in the process of getting in contact with her family in South Korea.
