Mase was signed to Bad Boy Records wne gave his publishing rights to Diddy for $20,000. In 2020, he hopped on social media to put Diddy on blast for the bad business move.

“Every year y’all be killing us man. The amount of time it takes to make these records, to pour your heart into it, and you just want an even playing field,” Mase said at the time.

“Your past business practices knowingly has continued purposely starved your artist and been extremely unfair to the very same artist that helped u obtain that Icon Award on the iconic Badboy label,” he added.

A year ago, Mase blasted Diddy over his Breakfast Club interview after Diddy claimed the Harlem World rapper owes him $3 million. “How dare this n-gga talking about he want receipts. Let’s start with your mother, n-gga. Your mother got the receipts, n-gga. Everything is in your mother’s name. That’s the one who’s got the receipts, n-gga,” Mase said.
