104-Year-Old Woman Passes Away Days After Setting A World Record For Skydiving

After knocking off a goal from her bucket list, an elderly woman sadly passed away days after in her sleep.

According to TMZ Sports, Dorothy Hoffner set the record for the oldest tandem skydive on October 1.

The Chicago native made global headlines upon charting the previous record of a 103-year-old Swedish woman who jumped in 2022.

Hoffner was ecstatic to share the news with the media, encouraging others to attempt skydiving. Yet after such an exciting experience, Hoffner transitioned into a new one all alone as she passed in her slumber.

Skydive Chicago released a statement regarding her passing, saying “We are deeply saddened by Dorothy’s passing, and feel honored to have been part of making her world record skydive a reality.”
