4 Georgia Inmates On The Run After Escaping From Jail Through A Broken Window
Four Georgia inmates are on the run after they managed to escape out of jail and pull off in a Dodge Challenger.
According to Fox 5 Atlanta, the 4 inmates broke out of the Bibbs County Detention Center in Macon, GA.
The Bibbs County Sheriff’s Office says the inmates fled from the detention center through a damaged dayroom window and a cut fence around 3 a.m. Monday. They are believed to have escaped in a blue Dodge Challenger that was spotted in the area at the time of the escape.

The 4 inmates include one alleged murderer, a man being held by the U.S. Marshals, a man convicted of aggravated assault, and a man detained for gun possession and drug trafficking.
During a press conference, it was revealed that only about 10 people were working at the detention center with 800 inmates at the time of the escape. It was also revealed that the escape took place in the oldest part of the facility and there are many areas of the jail that are old and in disrepair. “These inmates were able to leave out of day room window,” he admitted. “The oldest rundown-est part of the jail.”
“Somebody that sees this tonight knows where these four people are. And somebody is probably laughing at the TV set saying, ‘They’ll never catch us. They’ll never catch us.’ We will catch them. They will come back to the jail. It’s just a matter of when,” the sheriff said.
A $1k reward is on the table for anyone with information on the inmates’ whereabouts.
