19-Year-Old Memphis Girl Arrested After She Set Her Ex-Boyfriend’s Bed On Fire While He Slept With His New Girlfriend And Her Baby

A 19-year-old girl is behind bars after she decided to go inside her ex-boyfriend’s house and set his bed on fire as he slept with his new family!

According to WREG, Derica Wiggins, 19, was caught on the RING Camera breaking and entering into her ex-boyfriend’s house in Memphis. While inside, Derica ignited a lighter and threw it into her ex-boyfriend’s room, causing the comforter to ignite.

The ex, his new girlfriend, and her daughter were all sleeping on the bed at the time Derica set it ablaze.

The ex was able to put out the fire before firefighters arrived on the scene. He confronted Derica in the driveway before she fled. The new girlfriend claims she heard a lighter outside the bedroom door, but assumed it was one of her boyfriend’s brothers, not a lover scorned!

Thankfully, no one was injured, but there was smoke damage to the bedroom. Derica was arrested and charged with reckless burning and setting fire to personal property.
