5-Year-Old Alabama Boy Shot & Killed While Getting A Haircut
An arrest was made in connection to the fatal shooting of a 5-year-old boy in Bessemer.
The Bessemer Police Department said 26-year-old Kendrick O’Neal was charged with capital murder in the death of Brandon Nation III.
Police said Nation was shot the morning of Sunday, January 7 while getting a haircut at a home in the 500 block of 7th Avenue North. The man cutting Nation’s hair was also injured in the shooting.
O’Neal was also charged with attempted murder and shooting into an occupied dwelling.
Police said the case is still being investigated at and detectives have identified other suspects that are involved who are actively being pursued.
Police said detectives questioned another person, but they were released and were not charged.
