Dan Schneider Denies ‘Sexualizing’ Child Stars On Nickelodeon: ‘Some Adults Project Their Adult Minds Onto Kids’ Shows’

Dan Schneider has now denied that he sexualized children after videos from Discovery’s docuseries “Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV,” exposed some controversial scenes filmed during his time with Nickelodeon.

The series details some uncomfortable moments during the tapings of “The Amanda Show,” “All That,” “iCarly,” “Victorious” and “Sam & Cat.” It was on this same series Drake Bell revealed he was the John Doe who was repeatedly assaulted by Brian Peck during his time on Nickelodeon.

In some of the clips that have now gone viral on social media, Dan Schneider appears to be sexualizing Ariana Grande, Jamie Lynn Spears, and more. One particular video shows the character “nose boy” the superhero, whose costume has a set of noses on his shoulders that literally looks like p*nis’.

Schneider released a statement to Variety Magazine amid the backlash saying: “What people seem to be forgetting is the fact that the network has a talent management department that is keeping tabs on everything that is happening and going to every event these kids go to.”

Dan said that not only did the standards and practices group review each script and programming executives look at each episode, but also “every day on every set, were the parents and caregivers and their friends watching every single frame of footage and listening to every joke.”

The statement continued, “Every single thing that Dan ever did on any of his shows was carefully scrutinized and approved by executives at Nickelodeon.”

“P diddy was there??? Yeah he did that shit,” someone commented on the clips. “That Ariana clip had me shook,” another person wrote. “I believe all the allegations against Nickelodeon. Amanda Bynes has said this for years too and her life is literally destroyed. Put em all in jail,” someone else added.
