Donald Trump’s Lawyer Says That He Cannot Afford $464 Million Bond For Fraud Case

It appears former President Donald Trump, is struggling to find an insurance company that will cover a court-ordered payment in New York City.

After his lawyer revealed that he cannot after $464 million bond for fraud case, folks on Twitter created a #TrumpIsBroke hashtag, which is currently trending.

Back in January, Donald Trump was ordered to pay $464 million dollars in fees due to a fraud case after a New York City Judge found him guilty of lying about his wealth for decades.

According to NYTimes, the former president has asked about 30 companies, but they all said no because the amount is excessive, and they want cash instead of using properties as security.

His lawyers are asking the court to wait on making him pay until after he appeals the decision, arguing that his properties are worth more than what he owes.

However, it’s been quite difficult for them to find a company to agree to this. Firms that have helped Trump before won’t even accept properties as a guarantee for this amount.

“Why is this future felon even allowed to run. He incited an insurrection if Obama did HALF of what this man had done he’d be in jail,” someone commented. “Don’t care still voting for him,” another person wrote.
