Florida Mom Arrested For Allegedly Trying To Sell Her 18-Month-Old Daughter To A Store Employee For $500

A woman down in Florida is behind bars after allegedly trying to sell her own daughter outside of a local business.

According to Click Orlando, Jessica Woods, 33, had been lingering around the business with her 18-month-daughter in March 5.

“Jessica had been observed around the business with her daughter for a few days,” the release says. “An anonymous citizen made contact with Woods and asked if she and the child needed any assistance.”

The anonymous citizen worked at the business she was lingering around, and somewhat knew her because she had been seen regularly in the area.

Jessica told the person she didn’t need anything…but offered to sell her baby girl to them for $500. The employee told her no, which prompted Jessica walk off…leaving her baby girl behind. The employee took to the baby to a local police station and told them what had happened.

Jessica was arrested on March 7 and hit with several charges from unlawfully deserting her child, trying to sell her child for money, aggravated child abuse, and three counts of child abuse without great bodily harm.

Her bail was set at $255,000. Her baby girl has since been placed in foster care.
