KJ Smith And Skyh Black Kiss On The NAACP Red Carpet

The 55th NAACP Image Awards is once again honoring Black excellence. The much anticipated prestigious event went down on Saturday night, with Queen Latifah hosting the live telecast from the Shrine Auditorium.

Vice President Kamala Harris made an appearance in a pre-taped cold open and host Queen Latifah, told people to vote during the televised ceremony airing on CBS and BET.

There have been a lot of topics surrounding the event, however, a particular one has got people talking. Actress KJ Smith and her husband Skyh Black were in attendance, and the couple shared a kiss while on the red carpet.

Video of the PDA moment has since been making rounds online, garnering mixed reactions from fans. “Something is is different about BOTH of them. I’m not going to say, but whatever works for them…I guess,” someone commented.

“She leaned in to kiss him more than once and he ain’t even move his neck to meet her…… Girl he AIN’T IT,” another person wrote. “Not his boyfriend making them kiss for his enjoyment,” someone else added.

The Sistas star, 38, and actor Skyh Black, 35, tied the knot in a colorful fashion at The Malibu Dream Resort on Sept. 3, 2023.  There event was attended by 150 of their closest family and friends, dressed in all black, including Eva Marcille, Loni Love, Lil Rel Howery and Sistas executive producer Tyler Perry.

The couple started dating in January of 2021 and were engaged that December.
