Love Is Blind star Amber Desiree “AD” Smith, made controversial headlines last week after her ex fiancé Clay Gravesande, rejected her at the alter, claiming he needed time and that her finances were funny.

During an appearance on The Tamron Hall Show, Clay said he felt like he was going to commit to marriage in the days and right up until the moment it was time for him to say the two words that AD hoped to hear. But, he decided it wasn’t just the right time.

One of Clay’s groomsmen made things worse when he claimed that AD is not a realtor as she told Clay, but that she has a sugar daddy who is funding her life. The man who claims he’s Clay’s best friend also claims that the sugar daddy confronted Clay on AD’s birthday, telling him that he is involved with her and warning him to back off.

Well, AD Smith has now addressed the last minute embarrassment and according to the reality Tv star, her ex-fiance Clay Gravesande, promised that he would not embarrass her on the show.

“Clay and I had so many conversations about not moving forward,” AD revealed on Nick Viall’s podcast. “I know it looks like I’m blindly following him off a cliff and he’s telling me, ‘I don’t want to marry you,’ and I’m like, ‘Okay, let’s go get married.’ And he’s like, ‘No I don’t want to. I’m like, ‘Yeah,’” she said.

“There were so many conversations where I was like, ‘I’m good to walk away. I’m good. I’m good to walk away.’ He would actually try and do things differently and show up for me in certain ways, and then he would hit me with a sprinkle like, ‘I’m just afraid to get married.’ And I’m like, ‘Okay, again, we do not have to do this. I’m okay. I would rather not be humiliated in front of all of my family and friends,’” the real estate agent continued.

“And he’d be like, ‘AD, I’m not going to embarrass you. I’m not going to humiliate you.’ And I said, ‘Okay.’” Unfortunately, Clay did not keep his word and waited until the altar to turn her down.
