A California Family Advise Against Plastic Surgery Outside The Country After Their Loved One Died During A $4k Mommy Makeover From Unlicensed Surgeon In Mexico
Mother Of 2 Dies During A $4k Mommy Makeover In Mexico, Surgeon Reportedly Was Unlicensed
A mother-of-2 has lost her life after she died during a “mommy makeover” surgery in Mexico. Her family is now warning others about the dangers of getting cosmetic surgery outside the country.
Tan’Quasha Williams, 30, traveled to Matamoros, Mexico on February 10, 2024, to get a “mommy makeover” that reportedly included lipo and a breast lift, according to one of her sisters.
Before her trip, Williams was so excited about her transformation because she found a doctor on social media who advertised the surgery for about $4,000. Despite the doctor being in Mexico, Williams still packed her bags and went along with the surgery.

Unfortunately, Williams did not make it out of the procedure. According to the death certificate, the cause of death was “rupture of multiple blood vessels of the thorax and muscular region of the abdomen.”
Then, it was discovered after Williams’ death that the surgeon, Dr. Orlando Villanueva, wasn’t even licensed, nor was the clinic he was operating in licensed.
And even after Williams died in their care, they still continued to advertise for different surgeries on their social media! Williams’ family says this is unacceptable, and they want to warn other women against falling into the same trap.
“I don’t want to put another family in the same situation because if there were a way that I could prevent it and a way that I could have stopped her from going, I would have,” her sister Porsha Hilt said to Fox 11 News.
