DJ Mister Cee Dead At 57, Cause Of Death Allegedly Linked To Diddy
New York City’s legendary DJ, Mister Cee, passed away suddenly yesterday. So far the cause of death is not publicly available, but folks online are making scathing assumptions on what led to his death.
Mister Cee is known for helping launch the careers of legendary rappers Biggie Smalls, and Big Daddy Kane. He was also instrumental in helping launch the career of many legendary New York artists, including Jay Z and 50 Cent.
However, Mister Cee, real name, Calvin LeBrun, was also plagued with scandal. the DJ and rapper was arrested, multiple times for soliciting trans s** workers on New York streets. And because of the scandals, folks on social media have already begum speculating about Mister Cee’s cause of death.
Some blogs are circulating rumors that Mister Cee’s passing may be connected in some way to the recent Diddy s** scandal. Another is saying that Mister Cee’s passing is the result of some type of illness he contracted from a transgender s** worker.
According to gossip blog, Media take Out, a person close to Mister Lee has shut down all the rumors. The insider told the news outlet that Mister Lee “passed suddenly,” adding that the popular DJ was working, and living life to the fullest up until the end.
“It was nothing crazy, no foul play, no disease, “the insider said. “He passed like a lot of Black men his age. It’s a loss for everyone,” the insider added.
The Brooklyn star’s family confirmed the news and his former employees, Hot 97, released the following statement. “As a family at HOT 97 and WBLS, we’re deeply saddened by the passing of our beloved Mister Cee. He wasn’t just a DJ; he was a pillar of our stations, bringing joy to countless listeners with his legendary Throwback at Noon and Friday Night Live sets,” the statement reads.
The statement continues, “Mr. Cee’s influence stretched far beyond the airwaves, shaping the very fabric of NYC’s DJ culture. Our hearts are heavy as we send our love and condolences to his family and the fans whose lives he touched through his music.”
