Georgia Man Sentenced To 30 Years in Prison After Whipping His Children For Not Cleaning Their Room
Georgia Man Dillan Tenant, 24, Sentenced To 30 Years in Prison After Beating His Children for Not Cleaning Their Room
A Georgia man has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for beating his two young children.
According to the Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office, Dillan Michael Tennant, 24, was convicted last month of two counts of cruelty to children in the first degree.
Investigators say Tennant, in 2023, became angry over a mess his 2-year-old son and 3-year-old daughter made in their bedroom, and he physically punished them repeatedly in the days that followed.

During the trial, prosecutors showed evidence Tennant “(left) horrific bruising on the toddlers,” the Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office said as part of a a press release.
He reportedly took the children to a friend’s home in hopes of concealing their injuries. When they returned, the children’s grandparents and uncle reported the abuse to law enforcement.
Prosecutors say he never sought medical treatment for the children. Tennant was sentenced to 30 years in prison, with the first half without the possibility of parole.
“lan even tryna be weird or nun but if this happen 15 years ago nun would’ve happen,” someone commented on the news. “So if you discipline your kids you go to jail removing yourself from their life how does that help the child now,” another person wrote.
“He deserves punishment but 30 years is crazy. Some killers and rapists getting less than that,” someone else shared. “At first i thought he was a good dad getting arrested then read what he actually did. Tf is wrong with people doing this to their kids,” another person argued.
