Ice Cube’s Son O’Shea Jackson Jr. Reacts To Diddy’s Verse On ‘I Need A Girl’

Ice Cube’s Son O’Shea Jackson Jr. Reacts To Diddy’s Line On ‘I Need A Girl’ Amid Gay Claims

Ice Cube’s son O’Shea Jackson Jr. made a tweet earlier this year about Diddy’s line on his viral hit song “I Need A  Girl,” featuring Usher and Loon. The tweet has now resurfaced, following sexual assault and gay allegations against the rapper and business mogul.

“I remember in “I Need A Girl” when puff was like “you was more than my girl we was like brothers” That Shit always bothered me,” Jackson Jr. wrote in the viral tweet.

On the song Diddy rapped: “I had a girl that would’ve died for me/ Didn’t ‘preciate her so I made her cry for me/ Every night she had tears in her eyes for me/ Caught a case, shorty took the whole ride for me At first we were friends then became lovers/ You was more than my girl, we was like brothers/ All night we would play fight under covers/ Now you gone, can’t love you like I really wanna.”

Responding to a follower that asked what he’s trying to say, O’Shea said, “Shits a weird line that’s all. People taking it further than I was. Nigga just was listening to the song and had a flashback to me and the homies on the school yard jokin about it. I was 10 btw lmao.”

“As the son of the author of No Vaseline I think this is a topic you can sit out, respectfully,” another person wrote, making reference to Ice Cube’s work. “Because they were “gettin f**ked” by Jerry heller financially. It was an ok response tweet tho. As a fan. I know you know BIG said some wiiiild shit,” Jackson Jr. replied.

“Men always try to find the gay in everything but be homophobic. That line was not gay; it was more so to express the kinship between them K-Ci & Jojo did it in all my life: ‘you’re like my sister Close to me, you’re like my brother You are the only one, my everything,’” someone else penned.

“No wonder why Diddy made “I Need a girl Part 2” so we could forget. Naww ngga,” another person shared. “Then in the very next line said “All night, we would play fight under covers” ……Inexcusable to let that go,” a follower added.
