Couple years back, Cher, 77, made controversial headlines after she made her relationship official with Alexander ‘AE’ Edwards, who is 39 years her junior.

During a recent interview with Jennifer Hudson, Cher revealed she turned down Elvis and also talked about her dating preference, revealing she likes dating younger men.

“The reason I got with younger men is because men my age are older…now they’re all dead,” Cher revealed. “But before, they were just terrified to approach me, and younger men were the only ones.” When Hudson commented that younger men tend to be “bold. Yeah, and raised by women like me,” she added.

During her conversation with Jennifer Hudson, the “Goddess of Pop” also revealed the details of how she and AE began their romance two years ago.

“I was in a place where I couldn’t do much and I kept saying, ‘I’m not the right woman for you. First of all, I’m 100 years older than you,’” she said.

The singer continued, “‘And secondly, your friends [wouldn’t think you were] cool if you were caught hanging with me, you know?’ He said, ‘Why don’t you let me be the judge of that?’ And then, we just happened.”
