Kobe Bryant’s death is a great loss to the NBA, his family and the world at large. Kobe is a reputable baller whose impact in the game can never be overlooked.
According to reports, the helicopter crash claimed the lives of nine people, including Kobe Bryant, his daughter Gianna, her teammate Alyssa Altobelli and her parents Orange Coast College baseball coach John Altobelli and Keri Altobelli.
The pilot and the remaining three victims are still unidentified. Top ballers have paid tribute to the late star including the likes of Michael Jordan, Shaquille O’Neal, Magic Johnson and more in light of the news.
President Obama, Donald Trump and even rappers have also paid emotional tributes to the late Lakers icon on their social media pages respectively.
The tragic incident happened under 24 hours after James surpassed Bryant as #3 on the NBA’s all-time scoring list. In what will be Kobe’s final tweet, he celebrated James by writing, “Continuing to move the game forward @KingJames. Much respect my brother #33644.” 33,643 points was Kobe’s career total.
While LeBron James hasn’t penned any official statement concerning the death of Bryant, he was spotted exiting the Los Angeles Lakers’ team plane from Philadelphia, he was seen wiping away tears and hugging an individual while crying in response to the news.
