Takeoff’s Mother Says They Should’ve Provided Security Screenings Sice Celebs Are Targets Of Crime

According to Rolling Stone, Takeoff’s mother is filing a lawsuit against the venue where he was killed.

Per the report, Titania Davenport says Billiards & Bowling Houston provided no screening methods and after-hours security control.

Per the lawsuit, “social media posting in advance of the party made it clear that not only basic security measures needed to be followed, but advance planning and consideration should have been taken into account, which defendants were negligent in failing to do.”

It goes on to say: “Defendants knew or should have known that a significant number of violent crimes were committed at the subject premises and in the surrounding area, but negligently failed to protect invitees like [Takeoff] from the risks of violent crime.

Moreover, in addition to prior crimes, Defendants negligently failed to take necessary and unique precautions due to the specific event and the attendees.”

She argues that celebs would more than likely be a targets of crime. She says the defendants led attendees to believe that proper security would be in place. She is seeking “compensatory, special, economic, consequential, general, punitive, and all other damages permissible under Texas law.”

Takeoff was killed while attending a private event at the venue, he suffered gunshot wounds to the torso and head.
