17-Year-Old Basketball Star Caleb White Dies After Collapsing During Basketball Workout At School

This story is so sad! A high school basketball player died yesterday after collapsing during an on-court workout at his school.

According to TMZ, 17-year-old Caleb White passed away after receiving medical attention at Pinson Valley High School in Alabama.

White was the basketball team’s point guard and was an honors student. The Alabama High School Athletic Association has agreed to provide counseling to grieving friends and family of White.

In the midst of the sorrow, Caleb’s grandfather, George Varnadoe Jr., shared a touching message on social media, capturing the sadness surrounding this unfortunate loss.

His grandfather, George Varnadoe Jr., spoke out to say, “Our whole family was really looking forward to his upcoming senior season and afterwards, playing for a D-1 school and then perhaps the NBA. But……it wasn’t meant to be.”
