Man Escapes Police Custody After Fight Broke Out In The Courthouse
A Houston man was able to escape police custody after a massive brawl broke out in the Courthouse!
According to Fox 26, Michael Devon Combs, 32, had a court appearance at the Harris County Criminal Courthouse on Tuesday morning.
According to records, Combs was out on bond for assaulting his ex-girlfriend and the mother of his two children in 2022 by allegedly violently strangling her. This was his second offense of violence towards the woman, so the judge decided to revoke his bond and put him back in the slammer.

Once he was back in custody, police sat Combs on a bench in a hallway as they waited to escort him to the jail.
Thats when a massive brawl broke out a few court rooms over involving the families of 17-year-old Frank Delon Jr. and 16-year-old Diamond Alverez— Frank is accused of killing Diamond while they were in a relationship. Once this happened, all of the officers ran to deal with the situation, leaving Combs unattended.
Combs took the opportunity to make a run for it. He got on the elevator, took off his ankle monitor, and walked right out of the door as if he was a free man! It reportedly took officers 15 mins to even realize Combs was gone.
He wasn’t captured until 2 days later after a massive man hunt involving multiple agencies.
