Georgia Police Release Video Of Black Man Who Spent 16 Years In Prison For Wrongful Conviction Being Shot Dead During Traffic Stop

Georgia police have released video of Leonard Allan Cure, who was shot dead during a traffic stop.

53-year-old Cure, who spent 16-years in prison due to a wrongful conviction, was captured on video having a physical altercation with an officer before he was shot dead.

Cure was pulled over for speeding over 100mph. When asked to step outside the vehicle, he replied “I ain’t doing s***.”

After exiting the vehicle and raising one arm in the air, Cure was tased, prompting him to swing at the officer.

The two wrestled and Cure began to overpower the officer. The officer then shot Cure in his side, killing him.

Cure’s family said he had dreams of going to college and spent a lot of his time mentoring youth since his release from prison.

Cure was wrongly convicted of an armed robbery in 2003. He wasn’t released until 2020. Family members believe the officer’s aggressive behavior trigged him.
