Oprah Winfrey aired a special after the two-night broadcast of Dan Reed’s HBO documentary Leaving Neverland, which explores allegations of sexual abuse by Michael Jackson by accusers accusers Wade Robson and James Safechuck.
The documentary showed no direct evidence that either man was telling the truth. And we have since learned that both Wade & James made their first public accusations against Michael in 2012 – after filing a $1.5 billion lawsuit. Before then, both men had stated publicly that Michael never molested them.
HBO and OWN aired a special interview hosted by Oprah Winfrey featuring Wade & James entitled, Oprah Winfrey Presents: After Neverland. It was taped before an audience of sexual-abuse survivors and featured a Q&A between Oprah, Safechuck, and Robson.
Oprah never questioned the allege accusers motives, or why it took them so long to report the molestation, in her interview.

At the end of the special following the final installment of HBO’s Leaving Neverland documentary on Monday, Oprah Winfrey turned to the three men she was interviewing before saying, “We’re all gonna get it.”
What Winfrey meant was that herself, the two men featured in the documentary and the doc’s director, Dan Reed, would become targets for the Jackson estate and his loyal fans, who are angry about the controversial HBO documentary.
“Don’t let anybody in your world make it about what Michael Jackson did or do not do,” Winfrey told the audience, which was made up predominately of child sexual abuse survivors. “It’s about this thing, this insidious pattern that’s happening in our culture that we refuse to look at.”
