Nicki Minaj Shows Love & Support To Lizzo

Lizzo is undeniably doing great for herself. From rapping to singing and even playing the flute, the success she’s witnessed in 2019 is a culmination of the past few years of her career.
Lizzo released “Truth Hurts” on September 19, 2017. And almost two years later, Lizzo’s breakout hit is the #1 song in the country.

After rising two spots on this week’s Billboard Hot 100 chart, “Truth Hurts” became the first Number One song for the Detroit-bred singer/rapper.

Although Nicki herself hasn’t earned a chart-topping single, that doesn’t mean she’s salty about it. After Lizzo hit that top spot, Nicki hit Twitter with a kind message for the rapper.
“Congratulations @lizzo on going #1. You are so extremely multi-talented,” Nicki wrote.

Lizzo later replied, thanking the Queen for her kind words.

Lizzo joins Lauryn Hill (1), Lil Kim (1), Shawnna (1), Iggy Azalea (1), and Cardi B (3) as the only female rappers to top the Hot 100.

Just Lauryn Hill’s “Doo Wop (That Thing),” Cardi B’s “Bodak Yellow,” and Lizzo’s “Truth Hurts” reached #1 without another act on the record.
Congratulations once again to Lizzo!
