Comedian Ari Shaffir Marks Kobe Bryant’s Death In Disrespectful Tweet
Ari Shaffir Celebrates Kobe Bryant’s Death On Social Media
The world is still mourning the loss of a legend, Kobe Bryant who died in a helicopter crash along with his 13 year old daughter Gianna and others on board.
While many have been sharing uplifting words and condolences to Kobe’s family, wife and daughters, comedian Ari Shaffir thinks he should have died 23 years ago.
The comedian is currently trending and receiving lots of backlash over his tweet that Kobe’s death should have happened during his rape trial in 2003.
“Kobe Bryant died 23 years too late today,” wrote Shaffir, who later claimed he was hacked. “He got away with rape because all the Hollywood liberals who attack comedy enjoy rooting for the Lakers more than they dislike rape. Big ups to the hero who forgot to gas up his chopper. I hate the Lakers. What a great day.”

Although he maintains that he wasn’t the one who tweeted the controversial words. Ari actually doubled down with a video saying basically the same thing. “Every once in a while there’s a good story that comes out,” he says while standing in front of the Charlotte Hornets’ arena, which is the team that drafted Bryant.
“A guy who got away with rape got his today. Kobe Bryant is gone. I’m here in Charlotte, the home of the team that originally drafted him… maybe he wouldn’t have raped that chick in Denver if he had stayed in Charlotte with the hornets.”

A lot of anti-Black racists seem to be celebrating #KobeBryant ‘s death today. #smh
It’s disheartening seeing someone say such things about the deceasedwhen his loved ones are still processing the loss. RIP Kobe and Gianna!
