Man Arrested For Attempting To Spread Coronavirus On Subway
The fear of Coronavirus has put many activities on halt all around the world. The deadly virus is fast spreading across continents and according to reports, it’s only Antarctica that is free from the virus.
It’s been expected that infected people stay in isolation or be quarantined while they’re being treated to avoid the spread of COVID_19.
A European man was arrested earlier this week, and charged for allegedly attempting to spread the deadly coronavirus in a public subway car. The incident reportedly happened in European country of Belgium.
Authorities arrested a man who is seen on video removing a protective anti-viral face mask, licking his fingers and then wiping them on a subway pole.
The video of the incident has since gone viral. Local authorities are saying that the man was “intoxicated.” They further added that – as a result of the man’s actions – the train was withdrawn from service and disinfected.
Authorities would not release details on whether or not the man was infected with the coronavirus. According to local laws, they are not allowed to release medical details about persons accused of crimes.
As of this morning, Belgium had more than 556 cases of coronavirus. Watch the viral video below :
