Dwyane Wade’s Trans Child Zaya Gets Hair Done & Now Has Long Cornrow Braids Extensions

NBA baller Dwayne Wade and his wife Gabrielle Union have been supportive of their 12 year old child’s sexuality. Zion has been dressing feminine since he was 11 and people have been blasting his parents over it.

Sometimes last year, Dwayne took to twitter to respond to the homophobic slurs towards his child’s painted nails.

“I’ve seen some post-thanksgiving hate on social about my family photo. Stupidity is apart of this world we live in—so I get it. But here’s the thing—I’ve been chosen to lead my family not y’all. So we will continue to be us and support each other with pride, love & a smile!”

Dwyane Wade announced last year that Zion was transitioning from a male to female and will now be addressed as Zaya. Over the past two weeks, it appears that Zaya has taken steps in his transition.

According to MTO, Zaya is now wearing female clothing. Up until recently, Zaya Wade (formerly Zion) would wear gender neutral clothing, like pant suits. Well now she’s wearing skirts and dresses.

And Dwyane’s transgender child also changed up her hair. Zaya recently got her hair done, and now has long cornrow braid extensions.
