Dwyane Wade’s Trans Daughter Zaya Wade Attends Prom

About a year ago, Dwyane Wade’s trans daughter, Zaya Wade, was granted the official name and gender change she’s wanted. She became legally Zaya Malachi Airamis Wade and her official gender changed to female.

Zaya made controversial headlines after she came out as a transgender back in 2020, when she was just 13 years old. Dwayne Wade and Gabrielle Union also faced heavy backlash at the time.

Well, Dwyane Wade’s trans-daughter Zaya Wade, attended her prom this weekend, and she wore a cute stripy black gown. Here’s Zaya showing off her prom looks. We gotta admit, she’s starting to look a lot more feminine these days:

However, the comments haven’t been all positive.“Dwayne Wade and his son are doing their part to degrade, dehumanize and feminize young black males. There is nothing more sinful than a father destroying his child for money and fame,” someone commented.

“Get ready for a lifetime of therapy payments for your son. It’s a mental health condition known as dissociative disorder,” another person wrote.

“All transgenders suffer from this but we’re being forced to accept it as something that’s natural. That’s why their suicide rates are so high because it’s not being diagnosed publicly as a condition,” the person added.

Zaya was born Zion Wade, son of Siovaughn Wade and NBA star Dwyane Wade. Both Dwyane and his new wife Gabrielle Union seems proud and supportive of Zaya’s change-over.

Zaya’s biological mother, Siohvaughn Funches-Wade, is however not happy with the result. Dwyane said the change was in their child’s best interest and ripped Shiovaughn’s opposition as “nonsensical.”
